UKS2 – Class 8 – Science

Today in science, Class 8 have been exploring the working scientifically objective of ‘Making predictions’. The children were presented with a data set showing an UKS2 staff throwing competition and were asked to analyse it. Using this analysis the children then made predictions for the results of the next competition. Then, they were challenged to design competition as a science experiment, focusing on the: hypothesis, aim and variables of their investigations. Once they had done that, they took to the field to establish the method they would use if they were to conduct the next experiment.
