UKS2 – Newsletter – 07.05.2021

It has been an exciting week in USK2. 

On Wednesday, Class 8 had the brilliant experience of using Now>Press>Play. Stepping into Frieda’s shoes (a Jewish child from WWII Germany), the children were immersed in an interactive learning environment, whilst completing their new grammar goal of relative clauses. We cannot wait to use the headphones again! 

In maths, Class 9 have been using Times Table bingo to work on their basic skills and facilitate the learning of more complex, formal written methods.

On Thursday, all of UKS2 enjoyed their PE lesson. Class 9 and 10 went onto the playground to complete a basketball session, working on: dribbling, passing and shooting. Whilst class 8 went onto the field and completed a multi-skill carousel. 

Finally, in RE this week we have been exploring the Five Pillars of Islam. We learnt the names of the pillars and talked in depth about their meaning within Islam. 

Remember, on Monday (07.05.2021) we have PPA day, so children need to attend school in their outdoor PE kits.
