This week in science, UKS2 we introduced our autumn 1 topic of ‘Working scientifically’. Firstly, the children researched and discussed the work of Alexander Fleming and how this has impacted our society. Then, they were challenged to design their own experiment to create mouldy bread. The children discussed the dependent, independent and control variables for their own experiments, then set up their tests using zip lock bags and bread. They will revisit their bread slices in ten days time.
