UKS2 – Tool Session – Forest School

For our Forest School bazaar next week, pupils in UKS2 have spent their sessions today cutting and designing coins to use when trading goods. Pupils had to team up and first use bow saws to cut branches into circular discs. For this task, problem solving, resilience and communication were imperative. Once they had their wooden discs, pupils then used the fact sheets to discover more about Islamic coins and designs before using whittling knives and felt tip pens to decorate and finish their creations in preparation for next week.
