Wellbeing Wednesday – Forest School

Today was the last session before half-term and to prepare the animals for this the older group helped to give them a ‘deep’ clean. This involved fully emptying their hutches, carrying out some maintenance to paths and tunnels and giving our animals a good hair brush. Afterwards, and to celebrate the end of the current set of wellbeing sessions, pupils in both groups made S’mores at the fire pit. Pupils learnt how to feed a fire and all took turns in doing so before roasting a couple of marshmallows to place inside their biscuits. Whilst eating, we discussed the previous sessions and the impact they’d had on us as well as new skills we’d learnt along the way and the successes we’d enjoyed.
