Wellbeing Wednesday – Forest School
On yet another dull, miserable and wet day, all the children who attend Wellbeing Wednesday sessions helped in preparing a delicious snack – pancakes! With school being closed next week on Pancake Day, we celebrated early and worked on some key skills of Forest School as well as certain characteristics which help promote confidence, resilience and wellbeing. Working as a team, pupils created the mixture, got a fire going and cooked their pancakes before adding their favourite toppings. Whilst we ate, we also discussed the importance of sitting down to eat with friends and family and how these social interactions can play a huge part on mental health. We discussed how the sessions had gone so far and what they would like to do and achieve next half-term as well as the upcoming half-term holiday which the pupils are very excited about!
